He also learned to set a plan for his education as we recommend which he was free to change as his dreams did. He managed to live in Europe for 18 months and travel on someone else's nickel. While his friends and colleagues are financing luxury cars and boats and getting into debt, he is out there living out his dreams with cash and is well on his way to becoming financially independent. By the way, he chose work he loves.

Can anyone do what he has done? Yes, if they know how. And they can do it according to their own lifestyle. My friend Lisa was trained by her mother to handle the family bills while she was in high school. She was unique among her friends because she knew what went into running a household, she knew about heating bills and replacing appliances. She is now a stay-at-home mom living out her dream. Her husband teaches high school and together they run a side business. They are debt-free in their late twenties and well on their way to becoming financially independent. And most of all, they are happy. My nephew and Lisa were not born brilliant at money. They were taught by their parents. And they have run with this knowledge becoming financially independent at an early age.
